I like to study T.V. ads and watch how the commercials try to connect with people. Often times a T.V. ad will show a celebrity using their product. The reason advertisers use famous people to promote their product is because they know the famous person has a huge following and if they say a product is good then sales will increase. This is a perfect example of attraction marketing.

Here is an example. Suppose I create a commercial showing a happy couple by a warm fireplace sipping out of a cup and a view of a window with snow outside. Both of them are smiling and holding a yummy mug of hot chocolate. Sitting next to them on the end table is a canister of the hot chocolate mix the advertiser is trying to sell. Do you understand this? They are painting a picture of a happy couple feeling warm and toasty while they drink hot chocolate. This is another form of attraction marketing.

Attraction marketing is connecting with your audience. People who become the most successful in sales or business are fantastic at attraction marketing. and then seal the deal. This is an significant part of the selling practice because you need to make a channel of connection first to gain the trust of the buyer.

Connecting with people and attracting people is crucial in our world and is a major part of growing a business. All successful businesses have used some form of attracting in their marketing. This is attracting prospects which leads to sales. Instead of beating the pavement and knocking on doors you are attracting customers to you. They come calling at your door.

Here is one final point. You must be yourself. Prospects are attracted to many different people for many different reasons. It’s weird how often I am told that I remind people of a person they have known in the past. People are relating to me on diverse levels.

A perfect example is the T.V. show American Idol. I always find it intriguing that a horrible singer can stay on the show when other great singers leave. Let’s think about this show for a minute and relate it to attraction marketing. What are they doing? Not only do the participants sing but they record interviews, Amercian Idol plays video and they show a story about the person. This is precisely why some singers continue on even when they sound like a dead sheep. There are people out there who love them and this is attraction marketing.
